Vivo has officially unveiled its X200 series in China, which includes the X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro Mini. While the Pro models often steal the spotlight, the vanilla X200 holds its own with some impressive specifications borrowed from its siblings.

    Design and Display

The Vivo X200 comes with a 6.67-inch quad-curved AMOLED display, enhanced with Zeiss Natural Color technology for superior color accuracy. The 10-bit LTPS panel supports HDR10+ and boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The display is designed to last three years longer than standard OLEDs, while also consuming less power. The X200 has an IP69 rating, offering greater water and dust resistance compared to its predecessor, the X100.

    Internals and Software

The Vivo X200 is powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a cutting-edge 3nm processor featuring a Cortex-X925 prime core clocked at 3.626 GHz. The phone offers up to 16 GB of RAM, which can be expanded further with virtual RAM technology. Storage options include 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1TB, made even more efficient with Vivo’s proprietary storage compression technology.

Chinese users will get Origin OS 5 based on Android 14, while international variants will likely run Funtouch OS 5. Origin OS 5 introduces features like Circle to Search and Origin Island, Vivo’s answer to Apple’s Dynamic Island.

    Cameras

The Vivo X200 is equipped with a powerful 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor as the primary camera. Although slightly smaller than the sensor in the Pro models, it is paired with a Zeiss lens featuring a wide f/1.57 aperture and T* coating. The telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom and is powered by a 50MP IMX882 sensor with an f/2.57 aperture.

Rounding out the camera trio is a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 15mm focal length. For selfies, the X200 comes with a 32MP ultrawide camera capable of 4K 60 FPS video recording.

    Battery and Pricing

The Vivo X200 is powered by a 5,800 mAh BlueVolt battery, which is a significant improvement over the X100. Charging speed, however, is reduced to 90W wired charging, down from the 120W seen in the previous model. Despite this, 90W still provides fast and efficient charging.

The Vivo X200 is available in Sapphire Blue, Titanium Grey, Moonlight White, and Carbon Black color options. It is priced starting at $605 in China.
